Thank you again Mom for the best banana bread recipe in the whole world! Yes! The whole world! I have made many different recipes over the years to see if there was anything to top my Mom’s banana bread recipe, but I always come back to this once right here. I have decided to succumb to this recipe and stop searching for something better. Because honestly, there is nothing better! Same goes for my Moms Homemade Brownies or her Grain free granola, just so dang good! Why try something else!

My Mom loves to bake. She is who taught me most of what I know about baking. And growing up we always had some assortment of treats lying around for us to munch on. And one of my favorites was her banana bread. It was always just so perfectly moist and flavorful. And I loved walking into my house after a long day of school and having the smell of this wonderful treat hit my face as I came in.

Notes

1. Optional add ins to put in your banana bread are nuts and chocolate chips. --- 2. If you don't have sour cream, you can use 1 cup of buttermilk instead. Same for oil, use 1 cup of melted butter instead. --- 3. This banana bread tastes just as good without the streusel on top. Feel free to omit the topping if wanted. --- 4. To pull out the bread easier, after spraying the bottom of the pans, put a piece of parchment paper at the bottom. It will help the bread to come out, but make sure to let it cool completely before doing so.
