I grew up always having meatloaf and shout out to my Mom for making a wonderful version herself. But I never appreciated how good a loaf of meat baked in a “>pan could be. It wasn’t until college that I was introduced to a meatloaf that had some sausage added to it and it blew me away! I didn’t think it was possible to love this dish, but turns out I could! And my hubby loves a good meatloaf and he loves this as much as I do! And that is saying a lot!
Along with the sausage added to the ground beef, we switched it up and threw in some crumbled up ritz crackers instead of bread crumbs. It adds such a wonderful buttery-ness to the meat and we love it! We have shared this recipe with others and every can’t wait to make it themselves because it is that good! And of course the yummy tomato sauce lathered on top is crazy delicious. I am getting hungry just thinking about it!

Notes
1. We like adding the garlic cloves to the loaf to add a little kick of flavor. You can omit this step if you don't want the garlic. --- 2. If you don't have ritz crackers, regular bread crumbs will work well too! --- 3. We use 80/20 ground beef. It has the perfect amount of fat to meat ratio. --- 4. This meatloaf will be great for leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days after cooking.
