Homemade Restaurant Style Ranch

Bowl of homemade restaurant style ranch with sliced veggies.

We love sauces and dips in our household and any time we can add a dip to our meal, we do and try to do it well! My sister gave me this homemade restaurant style ranch recipe a while back and decided to try it out. And oh man, is it good! It is that perfect dipping style ranch to dip your wings, french fries, chips, and veggies in. In fact, we made our crispy drumsticks the other night, and made this dip to go with them and it was crazy good!

The ranch has a super garlicky taste, which we love cause we are obsessed with all things garlic, and is super creamy and thick. Plus, it is easy to put together. You basically take all of your ingredients, put them in a small glass bowl, and whisk together until all combined and boom! You have a perfect restaurant style ranch. You know, the type of ranch you can only get at your favorite food joint, not the bottle type at the store. Yuck!

This ranch dip is meant to be thick, but if you want it to be thinner like a salad dressing, just add a little milk to thin it out. Super easy as well to make it into a ranch dressing. As for us, we most likely will be keeping it thick because it is just too dang good as a dip. I love just dipping some celery and carrots in for a semi-health snack in the afternoon, or a nice little lunch.

Anyway, with the 4th coming up and all of the grilling that is bound to happen, plan to add this to your recipe and ingredients list cause you will love dipping all the things in it! Comment below as well if you make this incredible restaurant style ranch and let us know what you think! We love hearing from you! Happy get fooding!

Homemade restaurant style ranch that tastes just like it came from your favorite food joint! Thick and creamy, perfect for dipping!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 TBLS garlic paste
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp parsley
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup and 1/8 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup and 1/8 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • Milk for thinner dip, optional
  • 1/4 tsp dill weed, optional

Instructions

1

Add all ingredients together in a bowl and whisk together until well combined.

2

Add additional optional ingredients if desired.

3

Put in the fridge for at least 1 hour before serving. Enjoy!

Notes

1. We do not add dill weed to our dress because we are not huge fans of the flavor it creates in the dressing. However, if you like dill, add it in! --- 2. If you want the dip to be thinner, add 1/8 cup of milk at a time until you reach your desired consistency. --- 3. Salt is also a to taste ingredient. Add more or less as desired. --- 4. We like using garlic paste in this dip cause it is easier to mix in more evenly. If you don't have paste, crushed or super finely minced garlic will work as well. --- 5. You can eat the dip right away, but we highly suggest you put it in the fridge for at least an hour. This will help all the ingredients to mesh together, creating a more flavorful dip.
